Ugandan ABCs - by Ana

Ugandans sing the ABCs the Ugandan way. (Ana is working on learning it the Ugandan way - YOU try singing the ABCs a little differently - it's not very easy!)

Uganda is hot. The highest place in Africa is cold (Mount Kilamanjaro says Mommy). That's the highest place in Africa. The lower places are hot.

"Unicorn flowers"


I call these flowers "unicorn flowers" because they stick right up off the tree! They are blossoms on the mango tree in our yard. We're going to have lots of mangoes in a few months!

What I learned today about Africa - by Ana

The top of the map is called "north." The bottom of the map is called "south." The right hand side is called "east." the left side is called "west." We live in Uganda. It's in the east. There are 51 countries in Africa. There are 3 deserts in Africa. The equator divides Africa.
