Carrying a baby

Mamas carry their babies on their backs using a piece of fabric to tie their babies on their backs.

Money

Ugandan money look different. "I like the pink ones!" says Ana. Gracie likes the ones that crinkle and crunch in her hands. Right now $1 equals around 2600 Ugandan shillings!

Hands-free carrying

How might you carry things if you needed your hands free to do other things? Why not on your head? (This isn't a great photo, so I apologize, but I was trying to be discreet on the street!)
This Mama is carrying A LOT of bananas on her head. What can you carry on your head? (hint: don't start with anything fragile and make sure you have LOTS of space around you!)

Every boy loves wheels!

Noah loves wheels and vehicles - he made friends with one of the men at the guesthouse who has enjoyed Noah's company! Noah asks to get down from me to go to his friend when he appears!

Playground in the city

We finally got to let off some steam when we found an amazing playground on the roof of a mall in the city! We loved it and played very hard!

A cozy bedtime

I fell asleep on Mama Sarah's lap because I was so tired!

Daddy's feet

I like taking pictures with Mommy's camera. These are Daddy's feet in his favorite sandals - he wears them all the time!

"There's a grasshopper on the dining room table!"

I thought there was a grasshopper on the table, but it wasn't a grasshopper, it was a praying mantis! Did you know that a small praying mantis eats insects but a large praying mantis can even eat small scorpion, rodents, and other large things!

Yummy food

Did you know that "chips" here are actually french fries?

My favorite new snack is a "samosa" - it's yummy; it looks like a sandwich; it's a triangle; it has meat inside it (beef); I love it! I like it! (Pictured half eaten on the left side of my plate - deep fried pastry filled with meat, onions, and seasoning.)
